Tealium Tag Manager

Da Vinci offers a tracking script to channel behavioral and conversion events into our system. For more details on the tracking script’s attribution windows, load times, and more, please refer to Da Vinci’s Signal - Getting Started guide.

To use this tracking script, we advise development teams to place the script on every page of the site and configure events to pass Da Vinci the details needed. Da Vinci and Tealium have partnered together to streamline the implementation process for our customers. This guide details how to set up the script within our Tealium IQ integration.

Set up Signal Tracking Script

  1. Generate a Live access token. There is no need to generate a Test token when using Tealium, as you can manage environments for QA and production within the Tealium interface.
  2. Log in to your TealiumIQ account at my.tealiumiq.com.
  3. From the dashboard, navigate to the Tags experience and select Add Tag.

    • See available data mapping categories and syntax in Tealium’s documentation.
    • For greater detail on each of the available events, refer to Da Vinci’s Javascript SDK documentation for expected event parameters.
  3. Click Finish to save and publish your tag to the locations specified in the Tag Configuration settings.

Testing

To test that Da Vinci tracking is correctly set up, inspect the website code in your Google Console and look for requests firing to track.coherentpath.com. Please screenshot the Network tab for each of the following page events - Page View, Product Page View, Search Page View, Conversion Page View, and Identity. Further details below if needed:

  1. Navigate to the client’s website.
  2. Open the browser’s Developer Tool by right-clicking on the web page, then select Inspect.
  3. Select the Network tab in Developer Tools (next to elements, console and sources).
  4. In the filter field, enter the domain used for your script, for instance., “track.coherentpath.com” and select All.
  5. Ensure the Network tab is open, and complete page views for the following events - Page View, Product Page View, Search Page View, Conversion Page View, and Identity.
    • Allow the page to complete loading.
    • Look for the track.coherentpath.com domain as the Request URL for these scripts.
    • Take screenshots of the Network tab and associated page.
  6. Once this is complete, inform your Movable Ink team and share the requested screenshots. Movable Ink can confirm proper setup and that events are passing through as expected.
